Cookie notice

This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies (browser localStorage and sessionStorage, and scripts that read information from your browser) that oppt uses. It's provided by Jacob Ashby, trading as Oppt; see our Privacy Notice for how we handle personal data.
In short:
- No advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.
- Everything we use is needed to make oppt work, or remembers choices you made.
Strictly necessary
These make the site work. The law doesn't require your consent for them, and you can't switch them off inside oppt, although you can clear them in your browser (you'll be signed out).

Remembering your choices
These remember choices you made on this device and are never sent to us. You can remove them by clearing your browser's data for oppt.

Other services the site loads
- Google Fonts: our pages load fonts from Google, which receives your IP address to deliver them. Google Fonts doesn't set cookies.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: our sign-up page uses Cloudflare's check that you're a person, not a bot. Cloudflare receives your IP address and information about your browser for this security check.
- Pwned Passwords (Have I Been Pwned): when you choose a password, your browser checks it against passwords exposed in known data breaches. It sends only the first five characters of a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of the password, never the password itself.
- Stripe: Stripe's checkout sets its own cookies to prevent fraud when you pay. They're strictly necessary for payment, and Stripe's cookie policy covers them.
Changes
We don't use any analytics. If we add some, we'll update this notice first and give you a simple way to switch it off. If we add anything else that isn't strictly necessary, such as advertising, we'll ask for your consent before setting it.
